sahm...i need to work from home just took on my nieces
I don't know of any work from home that aren't scams, if you do look online be very careful if they ask you for any money up front to start this at home work. Also it's great that you are taking care of your nieces and you want what is best for them but driving out of your way to please them isn't a good financial decision. They should be going to school near you or the school your kids go too.
Aidenmomplus4 has a good point about sending the children all to a school close by. However, she doesn't know about all the legitimate stay at home businesses that are available. There are thousands- and they are listed on the direct selling association as well as the better business bureau. many business do ask for a fee to get started becaus, like any business, whether it is McDonalds, Taco Bell, Macy's, or a drug store- ALL businesses require up front money. I have helped several moms with young children work from home and one of them eventually earned more money than her husband. Yeah. She got great tax advantages and even earned a trip. You won't find perks like that from a job.
It is wonderful that you took in your 3 nieces but you are now their mommy who needs to set out guidelines and become thrifty in the household. Change their school is really the first thing you need to do. It will be a struggle but you have to find a job close to home and not spend more money on electronics. Coupons, coupons and more coupons are needed and trying to set up a schedule for errands is helpful. You did not mention the ages but good luck to you and your husband.
I'm a stay at home mom too, I have one bio and 2 bonus children. It does get it expensive and I applaud you for taking on your nieces when they need you.
Your heart is in the right place but like many have suggested it may not be financially sound to accomodate them with their choice of school.
Like others stated there are plenty of legitimate Home Based Business opportunities. You get out of it what you put into it. As another posted, if you decide to go with a home based business also called home party businesses or direct sells company, or even MLM (multi-level marketing company) just remember to do your research.
I'd never done direct sells or any type of selling before myself but I wanted to stay at home with my daughter. I honestly just can't bear to put her in daycare (I know I'm a sap). So I joined Damsel In Defense, a new company that I personally think is awesome and its a ground floor company so its not saturated in the market. I signed up in February and my team has grown to a total of 11. I know if I can do it anybody can. I'm passionate about what I do and I'm changing lives.
How to Choose a Home Based Business.
1. Research the companies on the Direct Sellers Association or Better Business Bureau (remember hundreds start all the time so some may be pending membership to these associations)
2.Make sure the product is something you could see yourself using and that you can be passionate about. If you don't like your products you won't have good sales.
3. Talk to different representatives in the company to find out the inside scoop and to see what mentor would be the best fit for you.
4. Ask lots of questions, if they can't answer your question or evade them than that consultant isn't the one for you.
5. Make sure this consultant will be there to support you even after signing up, ask them what they do for their team, how do they help you succeed.
I hope this helps you,
