Hello everyone,
I live in Puerto Rico. public school here is ok but not really the best...right now we have 2 kids and we have committed ourselves to pay private school. Its not as expensive as in the states. i pay $205 monthly for each and a one time annual fee from $500 to $650 depending on the school year.
now here is the dilemma, i would love to have like 3 more kids. we can afford private school right now. but there is no way we can afford it times 5 kids so i will have to take them to public school.
what would you choose? Offering better education to only 2 kids in private school or have a big
family in public school?

Thank u. i understand ur point.
Quoting CoeyG:As far as I'm concerned there is no choice, once you become a parent what you want isn't important. It is what your children need that counts. So do your children need a house full of siblings or do they need a good education?

Yes.by research and by own experience. I went to both n the difference is huge. education among privates are pretty competitive and classes ARE NOT easy. u really have to bust ur butt to pass the classes. everyone takes is seriously. in public, its like: graduate if u want...nobody cares. Classes are more adavnce than in public and. school is gated which means kids can't leave school at amy time. even high school, whereas in public, you can come and go as you please, etc.I cam go oncand on about the differences.
by the way, the private school I chose is bilingual which there aren't any bilingual in public. my son was born in the states but he has been living here for 3 years noe amd I don't want.him to forget his english.

Quoting Hera6:Do you actually know that your kids are learning better and faster at this private school? It often comes down to the individual teacher, not the school.
