How are you marking your children's clothes for school?

My girls each got new raincoats and one has a tag to write a name, the other doesn't

Do you just write names wherever or do you buy special tags?

I just write his first inatial and his lastname, his class and room #... last year he was in room 2-9 so it would have been like B. Rogers rm 2-9... thats not his real name or anything... but you get the idea... I just write it on the inside collar on the back :)

On my sons jackets last year I just wrote his name on the inside where it couldn't be seen unless you looked for it.

Both my girls start with S so it will likely read S (last name)

But I was wondering there's labels you can iron on or something. There's really nowhere in this jacket to do so.

Athletic tape right by a tag that comes on the jacket  or by the collar if there is no tag.  Athletic tape and permanent marker works wonders.

I suppose there is. Not where I'd want to write it. I'll figure it out thanks.

Anything needing marked like that I just put on the actual tag itself. Ya know, the one with the size and wash directions and all that. I also knew someone who wrote it in permanent marker on plain cloth and sewed it to the inside part where the pocket is but doubt that would work on a rain coat.

The tag is pretty small but I guess I could write it there.

Idk I just thought I remembered people talking about this last school year and people had bought little write on tags you could put on.

The one on the right is shiny and more like a raincoat.

It's the one on the right I'm speaking of.
