What books do you all recommend? My daughter is an excellent reader. She has a bunch of junie b jones, just bought her a couple judy moody books. I was thinking of maybe the newer pippi longstocking books. She has other books.. Just can't remember all the names.

babysitter club series (I read them when I was a kid...I would think you could still find them,I'm not that old)

I was thinking this! Lol

I let my DS pick his own books, but he's 3.

Oh! DD has 2 newer babysitter club books, but they are way different looking . They are like comic strips almost. What are the magic treehouse books about? I saw someone selling those on my local Facebook resale page.

To this day if the babysitter's club movie is on I will watch it(I have the movie on vhs). I have seen it so many times. I've dug it out & watched it with dd because one day she was telling me about a movie she watched on Starz, but didn't know the name of it & didn't watch it from the start & wanted to watch it.

Babysitter Club, Boxcar, Bobbsey Twins, books by Beverly Clearly-depending on what she enjoys: the Hobbit, Watership Down, etc. It's okay for her to read books that are higher level. :-) I would take her to the bookstore and let her browse and pick some books out. If she picks some that you don't find appropriate you can talk to her about why. :-)

My readers are 13 and 7 and they love LOTR, The Hobbit and Harry Potter books.
