The inside of my 5 year old son's thighs are very red. I'm not sure if it was from the heat or if the leg of his underwear was too snug. What's the best kind of cream to put on it?

I would probably put powder on it before cream. If you don't have any baby powder or talc, you could put cornstarch on it.

honey dust, talc powder  would do more good than a cream.  Cream keeps the area moist and i think that would make the area more sore.  I would get him some underwear the next size up if you think that is the issue.  If you can not stick a finger between underwear and his skin , it is way too small.  That is how i measure for dd.
