I have a three year old boy. I love him so much and I feel so blessed to have him, but to be perfectly honest, he's driving me nuts!!! I'm sure it's normal for kids his age but he's so much stuff that gets me flustered.
He has a trunk overflowing with toys. He's constantly taking all of his toys and throwing all of them on the floor. I feel like I should teach him a little bit of responsibility, age-appropriate, so I am trying to teach him to clean up after himself. Whenever I want him to pick up his toys, he blatantly tells me no. He tells me he doesn't have to. UGH!!! And sometimes, I'm lucky to even get a "No" out of him. He'll also ignore me.
He throws food all the time. We've had problems with ants because he throws food everywhere. He even hides food in places that I don't even know about.
When I tell him that these kind of things are not okay to do, he yells and screams as loud as he can. I can't tell him anything because he throws over-the-top temper tantrums.
These are just a couple of things that I deal with on a daily basis. What do I do? I love him SO much but there are days I don't want to deal with this stuff. I know this makes me sound wrong but I really need some advice to see how I can deal with this type of behavior so I can control my son and keep my sanity.
