Ever think about going to a chiropractor? I love mine and I take my young son, as well.

IT SOUNDS LIKE GROWING PAINS, BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE HIM TO A PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDIST.

DONT KEEP GIVING HIM THAT MEDICINE..IT COULD MESS HIS LIVER UP FOR LIFE.

Waking up in that much pain does warrant a thorough check.  I would definitely insist that they take an x-ray, and maybe even an MRI if it keeps up.

gp  should be able to do some xrays or tests. if he cant find the cause and your son is still in pain. you could ask the doctor to do a test for cancer, just to rule it out and give you peace of mind

I spent the weekend at the ER for it, they couldn't find anything even with blood work and x-rays so I'm hoping the ortho figures something out.
