Ummmm I'll pass
I can't help but feel that, that money could be used in a more productive way.. like feeding hungry children
or rebuilding new orleans ninth ward... how many years later and people are still homless?
I think everything happens for a reason.. and I think theres a reason Mother Nature took out the shore...
Let me know what you think
P.S. God bless anyone and everyone effected by any natural disaster
Quoting Meloney413:True ..people should be able to donate to whatever I just dnt like seeing it outshine I guess you could say some charities I feel are much more important
Quoting LiesLiesLies:
Power companies are handling the power.
Insurance and FEMA and other programs are handling homes.
People chooses to GIVE should not be questioned. Donating is donating and giving is giving.
This reminds me of when I caught shit for a $5,000 donation to the humane society. I wanted to give to that...you give to whatever you want.
Quoting Meloney413:
I do relize that but where are peoples humanitys.....restore a spring break place or rebuild home & restore electricity to people who have lost so much to sandy ..... bars & clubs or Home & schools?
Quoting LiesLiesLies:
Do realize how much revenue the shore brings in for that state?
The jobs it creates? The taxes they take in?
Quoting Meloney413:
The shore... they want to restore the little beach front where people get together and hang out dirnk and what not... restore the rest or new jersey not what makes a tv show millions of dollars * .
Quoting CoeyG:
Quoting marilyn623:
Not something id spend money onSo do you have room for all the people who live thre to come live with you since you don't think rebuilding their homes and places of work is worth the money? Are you willing to support all of those people who are out of work now and will continue to be out of work because you feel it isn't worth the money to rebuildt their livelyhood? This area provided homes and jobs for many who are not homeless and out of work...or didn't you think of that?
