Advice for Moms Advice for Moms

Did you tell or will tell your child or children about sex. What will you tell them?

Im not sure what age I will tell them but I want to go all out. Pictures of stds, video of a birth, what rape is an let them know its better to masturbate then have sex (until they find the one of course) and it is ok to say no no matter what others might say. Like I said Im not sure how I will do it or when but I do want them informed about EVERYTHING. I was left in the dark an wish I would have known everything I know now.

My 5 year old knows basics like body parts and it takes a dad for a baby to get inside a mom. And that touching ones self is fine in private. We address issues as they come up, I'm letting DH handle "THE" talk, when they are older (I have 2 boys).

I'm just layering as they get older.

I will also talk about STDs and go into detail. I used to work for a family practice and I saw what happens when a girl thinks her boyfriend is "clean"(as they used to put it) and didn't think they need to use protection.
