At Dollar General there is a coupon for every week I believe for $5 for $25 bought before taxes. However, that is not always a good idea because some stuff you can get cheaper else where. I like to buy at DG because it is very small and you don't take forever just trying to find one thing. However, the doubling coupons just call them. When you are grocery shopping take sunday clippings with you that you are wanting to buy. There is this site, but I don't know what it is called, but you can look at all the available coupons and even clip them out for whichever store you would like. Also there are free samples all over the internet so just keep a close eye on those, but a lot are just scams so be ware on that one. Always when you are going down an aisle at the store look for coupons by the item you want it will help and on the packages of your items too...pay very close attention to those (thos are usually small), but at DG I was buying a bag of buggels for a $1 for only $.25 before tax because of the small coupon. Always keep your eye out.

Use a coupon matchup site such as coupondivas.com where they tell you which coupons to use at each store. Example: For this upcoming week pick a store you would shop at and they tell you what is on sale this week and what coupon to use. They calculate what you'll pay after sale/coupon. Occasionally they have links to the coupon to so if you don't have it you can print it. Thekrazycouponlady is also a great site for couponing. They tell you what sales are/how to use coupons each sale.

I do coupon but not to an extreme. Most of the food items I buy, I buy store brand. I do clip all the food coupons too, then I compare the price of the name brand with the coupon against the store brand, most of the time the store brand is cheaper. I do use coupons for health and beauty items and on  cleaning supplies, toliet paper, paper towels, etc.....

I don't buy alot of junk food, and we eat left overs for lunches. For snacks I'll make cookies from scratch, I'll make jello or pudding those are cheap, peanut butter crackers are good too.

Buy meat in bulk packages, it's cheaper then split it up into meal portions before freezing.

I'm a bit OCD about this, lol, but I keep track of what I"m spending as I go through the store. I add it on paper and at the end I know what the total will be. And say half way through the store I see my total is getting too high, I can put some things back or just stop where I am. I have had a very limited food budget in the past, well kind of now too, but even more so in the past, and I had to know exactly what I was spending. Now I just can't stand the surprise at the register, I have to know ahead of time, before the cashier tells me.

Go to Hip2Save.com.  She has the best website that will give you all of the info you want to know.  Look on a stores website to find out if they double coupons.

Start clipping coupons of things that you need. For the stores local to you... Find out from their websites if they offer double coupons and what their sales are for the week. If they offer rewards cards or something like that, it all adds up. Sunday papers has the most coupons. Coupons can now be printed from online too.

Make a budget cut out what you don't need and make a list of what you do need.  Most coupons are for junk.  Sign up for sites that give tips and hints.  KrazyKoupon lady, fabulessly frugal, coupon mom, living richly on a budget.  There are so many out there.  Do what works for you!  Start small and read, read and read!  :)

Coupon for what you are going to use not just because there is a coupon and you can get it cheap.  Don't be afraid to shop online through sites as you can save a lot of money and make money at the same time.
