What kind of food do you make for Christmas dinner? We usually end up going to several peoples houses before Christmas and most of the time they serve the traditional meal of ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes etc. so by the time Christmas Day rolls around we are tired of ham and turkey so we usually make something different for our meal Christmas Day. We have even done grilled steaks before for Christmas dinner! I was trying to think of what to have this year and my husband suggested lasagna. (since he really loves my lasagna) I just wondered what kind of food everyone else has on Chrismas Day? Do you do traditional stuff like ham and turkey or do you do something different?
We do ham, scalloped potatoes, a green vegetable, rolls. I have been to an italian christmas where they had lasagna, baked ziti, garlic bread, you name it. I think you can have whatever you want for your holiday dinner.
I make a nice big ham, a nice big tray of pork, rice and beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, baked ziti, and a few other things lol but I too get a little blah with it and would like to try something new lol
I will make braised ribs, stuffing, mashed potatoes and a broccoli casserole. And for dessert a toffee pecan pie.
