Okay. Then you are excused. :) Sorry. Cradle cap is a form of dry skin on babys scalp and forehead. Most babies get a slight case of it when they are newborns, as they are shedding their skin from in utero. The best way to prevent it is to use the brush they give you in the hospital when washing babies hair, and give baby a bath daily (sponge bath) for the first couple months or few months after birth. I'm sure the nurses at the hospital will go through all this with you, but it is a good idea to be informed. I gobbled up all the parenting books I could when I was pregnant with my first so I knew what to expect, and was well prepared for anything that could happen. Knowledge is power! :)

I used vanilla oatmeal baby shampoo, and a soft bristled baby brush to rub the dead skin off. Worked very well, he doesn't get dry scalp issues at all anymore.

Oohh ok :) well that makes sense. Lol I unfortunately haven't really educated myself very well. I've read week by week pregnancy things, but that's it. I've had a few convos with my mom but because I'm so unaware on what everything will be like, it's hard to know what questions to ask. :s lol I'm not too worried tho

I have heard people use it and it works sometimes, but haven't had any experience with it.

Being a mom comes naturally! We have an instinct that is remarkable! Don't ever hesitate to ask questions and get help when you need it though. Congrats on your first baby! Do you know if its boy or girl?
