Going Back to Work. ugh!

Hi there!

My husband and I adopted a baby in January 2012. I have been off of work for a year and have no desire to go back. My job title changed since I left and I have no interest in doing the same job.

Congrats! Can you afford to stay home? I know what you mean about not wanting to work. I had to get a job after being at home for 6 years and it hasn't been easy! Good luck!

Well, I hope you are independently wealthy, and if your husband gets hit by a bus, you have enough money to support you& your children the rest of your days.  If you DON'T, then I suggest you suck it up.  I'd wager very FEW of us LOVE getting up and going to work every day, but we do what needs to be done to provide a better life for our family.

Congratulations on your new baby! Going back to work is so hard. I stayed at home with my little one for six years before I went back. It is an adjustment for sure. Good luck.

It is hard. I did it because I knew that I wanted to continue my career, have money if something happen to my husband, etc.
