My little girl is 6 weeks old ( will be 7 weeks Tuesday 1-8-13) and is starting to take 6 ounce bottles? Not everytime she eats but 3-4 times a day. Normal?

I am not sure.  I breastfeed and if he gets a bottle..it is only 2-3 oz. He is 5 weeks old.

Yea, when my LO gets a bottle it's never more than 3oz... she's 6 months old.  6 oz seems like an awful lot... her stomach only holds about 2oz right now.   Maybe feed more often?   6 weeks is a growth spurt, she may just need fed more often.

I think that's a little early to take 6 oz bottles. Maybe you should feed her smaller bottles but more often.

My dd started out at 2oz first bottle after delivery. So it sounds normal to me.

1 mom liked this
If she starts crying all the time it's because you are over feeding her

Well if she is only eating 4 times a day 6 oz bottle that is 24 oz in 24 hrs.. so she isn't overfeeding. But I would make smaller bottles closer time. Like 3-4 oz every 3 hrs
