What's your intake about that? My daughter is 15 great kid, makes good grades etc. But she told me about a boy she likes that is 16 an driven..he is in the same grade as her, but she isn't aloud to date boys who drive, until next year..wich scares me! I don't want her in a car with a teenage kid who can't drive! An especially a boy! I hope I have raised her right! But I know next year there will b a lot more problems! A few of her friends are on birth control..I mean should I make a suggestion to my daughter about it? I dont want her to mess up the things she has going for her..also I was 16 when I got pregnant for her, I wasn't a bad kid, an neither was the father, it was just very poor judgement..an she has witnessed how it is being a teen mom an the struggles..so I really don't know how to handle this!

Tough. I think deep, repetitive convos with her AND dad are in order.
My mom jumped at the chance to give me depo very young- and great! I wasn't a teen mom- BUT, it didn't replace parental guidance or good advice. I was a baaaaad girl. Gl to you.

Be honest with her, tell her the options. I lost my virginity at 16 and if her friends are already sexually active, its just a matter of time till she gets the same idea. Like you said, you weren't a bad kid you just made a poor decision. I say give her the tools she needs to prevent an unplanned pregnancy. Ask her if she needs birth control you are willing to get sit-up but that its NOT a free pass to sleep around.
