So I am 10 weeks pregnant. And i talked to my Dr about a vbac. I want in wanting one really bad, but now I don't know. my dr said there is a 98% everything will go ok. There is 2 % Some thing could go wrong, me and my baby could even die. My dr said if i want a vbac we can try, but c-section would be much safer. The thin is with my 16 month i was in labor for 11 1/2 hours. no pain meds. and no pain. so when i tell people that. they get mad and tell me well you had c-section like it was a fake birth. so now i want to have national birth more then ever. So people will not be so mean, and i want to know it feel likes. I am sorry if that's funny. did you have a vbac? how did it go? and if you have anything to tell me i could use all the advice right now

I don't have any experience with c-section or v-bac.  I just wanted to mention that there are risks with all births.  Don't let the jerks make you feel like less of a mother because of a c-section.  Having a natural birth does not make you more of a woman.  C-section is not a fake birth, so tell all of them to STFU!!

Don't get yourself worked up over what other people think.  I had a c-section and its no walk in the park.  Giving birth is hard and no matter which way you choose and you are no less or more of a women for it.  I agree with the pp...tell them to STFU.

I had a vbac in December BEST choice ever! Baby was 8.12 lbs and my recovery was so so so much easier than my csection!!

There are risks with EVERY birth! I'm pretty sure the risk is less in a vbac. If a vbac is what YOU want... Find a dr who is very supportive & has a good success rate! You don't need someone who would prefer u get a csection because its more convenient for them!!!

you can bleed out on the table if they cut you wrong, have a reaction to anesthetic or pain management how does a 2% chance make it "much safer" to have a c-section???

heres what you do. you tell people who are being assholes, to fuck off. whether baby came out of vag or cs, you still gave birth.

I had three vaginal births and with my forth I ended up having a c section once I was dilated to 6 cause he turned on me and was breach the c section itself was fine my recovery was the worst I hated it. I was used to just bouncing back. So with my last one I wanted a vbac really bad but my dr was so against it. He only told me the negative things so of course I agreed to another c section. But 5 days before my scheduled c section my water broke and I went into labor. It just so happened the dr on call was one of the few that would do a vbac so she told me the risks. She said she had done many and the only time something had went wrong was when a mother waited way to long to go in and she reopened during labor and they had to do an emergency c section but they were both fine. She said had that lady gone in earlier it would of been prevented. Well she eased my worries and after 18 hours of labor I delivered my dd via vbac best experience ever. I did get an epidural just in case I ended up needing a c section but I'm so glad it didn't come to that. I had an awesome vbac experience and would recccomend it if the dr is willing to do it the dr I ended having was very supportive. Good luck in whatever choice you make

I had a vbac with ds. Everything was super smooth. I pushed twice and had a beautiful 9.4 pound baby!

With that said, I believe that any ignorant asshole saying that any form of childbirth is fake, should promptly be punched in the dick! Or boob, whichever applies!

There's a risk with every birth hat something can go wrong. If you want to try- go for it!
