smoothing/ironing out vinyl?

We have these car sunshades:

http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Board-Deluxe-Sunscreen/dp/B002R8QAT8/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1359176954&sr=8-11&keywords=car+sunshade+baby

But they are seriously wrinkled and don't stick to the window well because of it.  Is there any way to smooth them out?  I thought about putting something covering them and ironing it out but I'm afraid to melt them lol

Honestly, because vinyl melts with heat my suggestion is to lay them on a flat surface and then put something heavy on top of them like books or boxes.  Check them after a day and see if there is any improvement :)

I've smoothed out vinyl by covering with a cloth and ironing it on a very low setting without issue.

I would try laying them under something flat and heavy for a couple days.
