Please and thx
Did you already have it pulled or are getting it pulled? All 4 of them or only one? Ive had 3 of mine removed but only one at a time. One had to be cut out surgically, it was sore but only lasted few days. The other 2 I had pulled. One I had pulled was fine, sore for a few days and back to normal. The other one I had pulled was horrible! I went to a shitty dentist and I dont know what they did but it hurt soooo bad and I was eating motrin like candy for a month straight (no exaggeration) several times a day! but for the most part if your seeing a good dentist you should be fine and recover quickly
I had all 4 of mine pulled the Monday before Thanksgiving. I was able to be eating solids in the front of my mouth by Thanksgiving. All my dentist did was give me noviacane to remove them, then codine for pain!

I had it done yesterday just one, just wanted to know if u all had any advice for a speedy recovery?? When will I be able to eat real food again??
It is different for every person. My husband was given twilight sleep and didn't remember anything nor have any restrictions or problems. For me they were pulled two at a time, so I could chew on one side of my mouth, and it took a while for the holes to fill in, where my husband had stitches. Neither of us had much pain afterward.
You can eat solid food whenever it is comfortable for you to do so. If its still sore try eating on the opposite side of your mouth since you only had the one pulled. Im pretty sure they say you only have to worry about dry socket for the first 24 hrs

Make sure you are getting plenty of protein, so smoothies made with yogurt and milk are good. My dentist suggested Carnation instant breakfast.
I only had my upper 2 pulled. None even developed on the bottom. I've heard the top ones are easier than the bottom teeth because the bottom are closer to the jawline/bone. I didn't have a twilight sleep and they were both impacted. The worst part was that I could HEAR the dentist cutting the gum. Sounded like ripping paper. He pulled them out, put some gauze in there and sent me home with a vicodin rx. No stitches. I never needed my rx. Surprisingly, I had no pain. I just waited till the holes in my gums closed up before I started chewing with the back teeth, took just a couple of days. But I've heard plenty of horror stories. Hopefully yours goes easily. Good luck.
