How many out there if their children have any account, ie facebook, email, ipod make them give you the passwords and tell then you can check them if need be? And how old are the children if you do this?
I have all her passwords for whichever games she plays. She makes them up but i write them down on paper. She isnt on any social sites yet and uses my email account if she wants to email someone.
I have four kids, ages 19, 19, 14 and 10. My 10-year old does not have any online accounts . The others do but I do not insist on having passwords or anything like that. (We are Facebook friends, though--they just aren't very active on Facebook--they're boys!)
I trust my kids and they haven't given me any reason not to trust them.
my stepson is 13.. and we have passwords to his computer, his dsi, his ps2, and his facebook and email accounts.. He is well aware that he may be checked on at any time for inappropiate activity (and has been caught...) He agreed to these terms..
At one point we had his computer, emailing us with a weekly report of his internet activity and immediately of any inappropiate activity... (of course this was after he was caught looking at porn..)
