Check ups for school age children

How often do you take your school age child for checkups, aside from regular immunizations.  If they are not sick, how often do they need to go?

Our school requires that they have a physical every year before the beginning of school.

I don't go to the doctor for "well" visits unless required for my kid to go to camp or something.
