i receive a notice by mail about a "notice to petition delinquency and stop driver's license suspension". my son's father filed a petition I assume to try to go to court to see if he can stop his license from being suspending. he owes me over $10,000 in back child support. he has only made a $20 payment towards the support. i wanted to know if its necessary for me to go. the same day of the hearing my school is taking the FCAT writing exam attendance is strictly enforced for both teachers and students.

Will the judge stop the drivers license suspension??? My son's dad never usually shows up to court for the other hearings but now he wants the judge to stop the license suspension.

Ask your lawyer. If you don't have one, get one.

I agree with this. You can even possibly get the date changed to another day.
