Does anyone cut their own son's hair?

With the way my son's hair grows, I will be spending a lot of money to cut it every few months. I would save so much money by cutting it myself or at least by trimming it myself.  Does anyone cut their son's hair? Is it hard to learn? How did you learn?

I did for a few years. I just cut it the way I thought it should look like.

I do. It's nothing fancy. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos. lol I use the trimmers for the sides and cut the top with my fingers.

Do you have a JCPenneys near you? They do free kids haircuts every Sunday.

I have been  cutting my sons hair since he was little. Now he is 17. He says I give the best hair cuts..lol I dont know about that but if he likes it... Im happy.

I learned by trial and error. The best way to cut hair is to get a clipper set. Oster makes nice clippers. They come with guards and instructions for use. For a nice boys cut use a one or two( guard) on the sides and a number two or three on top. remove the guard and do the stray hair on the neck line and around the ears. Worse that can happen is you will have to give him a one or two all around all around. But keep trying. It is hard to really mess it up too bad when you use the guards.

I did when he wore it in a Mohawk.

I do, all three of them. Right now my youngest has a Mohawk, and my two older boys, I use clippers with a #4 clip on the back and around the sides and layer the top.
