Hello. I am new to CafeMom and new to Central Ohio. I don't know ANYBODY here :( I was recently asked to pick Molina or Care Source as a health provider. By any slim chance does anybody here have any advise on this matter?

Caresource is headquartered in Ohio while Molina is headquartered in California. Other than that they both provid plans for Medicare and Medicaid. The plans with each are dictated by the state in which they’re operating. If both are in the same state the plans will be the same, with the only difference in which doctors contract with the plans.

Basically there is no difference, they are administrators of Medicaid and Medicare programs in various states. Molina Healthcare, a FORTUNE 500 company, has grown into one of the leaders in providing quality healthcare for financially vulnerable individuals and families. Currently, Molina Healthcare arranges for the delivery of healthcare services or offers health information management solutions for nearly 4.3 million individuals and families who receive their care through Medicaid, Medicare and other government funded programs in 15 states.CareSource is a leading non-profit public-sector managed care company based in Dayton, Ohio. CareSource has been meeting the needs of underserved health care consumers for more than 20 years. Since inception, CareSource has grown to be the largest Medicaid managed care plan in Ohio and the 2nd largest in the country.

I have Molina, but I'm farther south. Best thing to do is call around to the doctors offices in your area and ask who the accept.
