You can take them swimming as soon as birth (i think). As long as the water is safe and properly cleansed. There are alot of mommy and me type classes at our community center for swimming.
YOu can take her any time. Just put little swimmers on her.Have fun!
My DD's doctor told me not to take her into a lake or pond because there could be bacteria or organisms in there that could give her an infection and if I took her into a pool make sure that if it had a lot of chlorine not to get too much water in her eyes or they could get irritated. Other than that, swimming was OK.
I would only be hesitant about chemicals in treated water. My kids all have sensitive skin though.
No, it is not too soon. The best students I have are the babies I teach. Most love water and are not scared of it yet.
I wouldn't want her in water in public chlorinated pools... But I'd le her get her ones wet for sensational benefit. If we visit the in laws, they use salt water, I would immerse her and maybe start teaching her how to swim... Lol supposedly they are natural swimmers. I would also put a full body suit type swimwear on her to protect her from the sun and rashes.
They're swimming diapers. They don't hold much liquid; they're meant to keep the baby poop out of the pool water, etc.
Quoting polkaspots:What do you mean by lil swimmers?
