My 8month old is just getting over ear infections in both ears. He finished his medicine about 3 days ago. The last 2 days he has been really cranky and moody. He either don't want to be tuched or all he wants is to be held. (It's been fun trying to figure out witch mood he is in) he has been sleeping a lot. And hasn't been wanting to eat.

Could he be getting sick again or could it be the medicine that he was on. Or could it just be a growing spurt? Should I be worried or am I just being paranoid?

Update :
He has his well baby check up 2marrow so I was going to wait. But I couldn't take him crying anymore. It has been almost non stop 4 3 days now. If he isn't sleeping he is crying.

So I called the doctor and they want him to come in right away.

1 mom liked this

His ear infections could still be there.  Sometimes, one round of antibiotics isn't enough.  Knowing that he just had an ear infection, I would take him in for a recheck.

I'd call his doctor and ask them.  It may be necessary for him to be seen again. I hope he feels much better soon.

I would call and ask.  It might be something that THEY don't want to wait on.  And if he still has an infection, they might want to reschedule his well-visit anyway.

Call the doctor and see what they say.  Is he running a fever?  Any rashes?

I don't think he has a fever but he keeps getting. A rash but then it goes away then comes back

Go for an ear re-check. Unless there is rash - that's a serious med allergy!

Call and let the doctor know.  Take his temperature as well.  He might still have an infection or could have a mild reaction to the antibiotic.   Either way, the doc needs to know.
