Lately DS has been biting me non stop. Everytime I nurse him he lays one on me and I feel like I've been seriously wounded. He just turned 11 months last week and this has been going on for about 2 weeks. I can't even relax when I nurse him, I tense up. Once I let my guard down that's when he attacks, lol. He will either laugh because he finds it funny or cry when I tell him "no no". My DH wants me to start weening DS if i'm in so much pain but I want to make it at least a yr but if this continues I don't see how. And it's not just biting during nursing, he's biting me everywhere. He will crawl up to me and bite my legs through my jeans (yes it still hurts), he will bite my shoulder when I carry him, bite my fingers if I help feed him, ect. All these bites aren't quick bite and release either. He grasps on to whatever he's going to bite and pulls it through his teeth! So imagine nursing your baby and your half asleep, next thing you know is you nipple being pulled through 7 tiny sharp teeth! This happens in a blink of an eye, he does it so quickly. I've given him "chew" toys and snacks/ food that require more "biting", I don't know what else to do. Any advise? It's time to feed him and I'm hoping this feeding session won't be traumatic.
EDIT.... DH wants me to give DS whole milk already. I don't want to do this and won't do this. He mentioned that we can give DS a "Toddler milk supplement" instead. I told him that it's basically formula for toddlers and cost almost as much as much as baby formula depending on brand. SO that's when he said "yup, will just give him milk." I haven't pumped since Ds was 3 weeks old but if doesn't resolve itself soon I may have to pump.
