I am not for CIO either, but I can't say what other people do to their children.
I do know that CIO has been proven to have ill effects if not done properly. I also cannot stand the sound of a child crying, I want to sooth them.

In my opinion, it would go against my natural instincts to sooth my child and there-for would be wrong for us.

Love it :)

I don't judge what other people do with their kids, but I'd go out of my mind trying to ignore my baby crying. Too natural for me to go comfort them.

Love it!  We are anti-CIO as well.  Babies cry because they need something. (;

Love it :) I'm very anti CIO, I never let my son cry, despite one particular family member who tried to convince me that I was 'spoiling' him. Nearly 12 years later, my son is about as unspoiled as possible.

Aww! So cute. I never let my baby cry longer than 5 minutes. I rock him, but when he gets so tired that he cries harder being held, i lay him down with his glowing musical seahorse and let him cry for about 5 minutes at the most and he goes straight to sleep. Im always right there watching him. It hurts me to hear him cry. But its the only way he will go to sleep some nights. :( i love rocking or cuddling him to sleep.

Love it. And I agree--just because a baby's physical needs are all met does not mean the child doesn't need you. He's not a Betsy Wetsy doll.

Yep, sometimes my son cries because he wants me to hold him and cuddle him. I'm not gonna say no to that :)

Exactly.  Babies are only babies for such a short amount of time.

I don't care how exhausted I am, if my angel cries then I'm there.
