I just got my medicaid card for my  son and i can't find any pediatricians who take medicaid! he's 11 weeks old, he hasn't gotten any shots yet and he hasn't gone to the doctor since he was 4 weeks old because i've been waiting for his medicaid card. i finally got it and his pediatrician i was sending him to won't take it. now i have to find another doctor and anyone i call doesn't take it either. it'll say online that they take it and then when i call they say they don't. what do i do? this is ridiculous

Doctors don't take it because they don't pay shit.  Also it takes forever to get the money and they deny claims a lot.  Many stopped in recent years.  Doctors I used to work for stopped a long time ago.  Try a clinic.  That may be your only choice.

I'm in Monmouth County but I don't have Medicaid, so I'm not sure. Good luck.

Go to your local health department. They can help you and provide care. They may also be able to refer you to a dr that they know accepts Medicaid.

You might want to check out the New Jersey Moms group and ask there.
