I feel like I'm dying.

I have never before been one to get cramps with my period, but now, ever since I had my daughter, Annie, they come every month. They are horrible, painful, make me want to curl up into a ball and cry cramps. Have any of you experienced this after childbirth? Is it normal, is my body trying to regulate itself? Most importantly, will it go away?

We've never used birth control, we do natural family planning for religious reasons. Sounds like bc might help?

I had painful periods (once I started again) for about 6 months. But after that they were normal.
If you think there is something wrong, go to your OB, there could be an adhesion of the placenta or something. It is always good to be seen.

I would talk to the doctor on your next ob appt about it. Birth control may help, but in the mean time, use one of those heating rice bags. They work wonders.
