Please be gentle in your posts. Being a mom is tough and we all need support.
I just recently generated a post regarding keeping a house clean while raising two small children. Instead of asking for clarification, people assumed that my cat was peeing on our floor every day and that we lived in some sort of conditions that would be hazardous to our health. I was called out as being lazy, told to get rid of my cat (which doesn't pee on the floor), and that I'm not supervising my children. Below are some of the responses that I received.
Please be gentle when you respond to posts. Being a Mom is hard work and we are all using this site for support. The last thing we need is for a stranger to use harsh language in response to our need for support.
What??? Once every two weeks? That's your problem right there. You need to be cleaning every day to keep up on things so they don't get bad! Your house doesn't have to look perfect, but it at least needs to be clean and safe!!
OK the cat would be the first thing to go. If it isn't house-broken, you're creating a health hazard for your children!!!! Get rid of the cat, get up off the couch and do something every morning, nap time and evening. Seriously, if you can't keep your house clean, you're either not trying or lazy. I can't imagine living with cats that aren't box trained! If you do SOMETHING every day, you WILL have a clean house! Those moms you're talking about do exactly that. They take pride in their homes...not just the fact that they're with their kids!
Crayon marks on the walls? Supervise. You aren't cleaning so why can't you supervise the kids with crayons.
Also, as stated, 5 dogs here and no pee stains.....
