I am 36 and have hardly ever used sunscreen in my adult life (I know that is really bad)! I love having a tan and I tan easi,y but I have come to realize that I need to protect my skin. So what SPF do I need to use to still get a tan?

Any of them. They just block the bad rays. They are never total sun block.

I don't care how easily you tan, getting a tan is damaging your skin.  Go with a sunless tanner and stay out of the sun.  If you saw the skin cancer that my BIL just went through, you would think twice.  He had it on his cheek, not pretty, and now he is disfigured all because he wanted a tan.  Just not worth it!

I use the sensitive skin kind, with physical barriers instead of chemical, and it's spf 50.  And I'm very tan.  I asked my friend about this, I was thinking my sun block isn't good enough but she said you'll still get a tan if you're out, it just won't be as dark or damaging.  I slather it on every time I'm out for more than 10 minutes.
