I've got a 6yr old little guy that started kindergarten last week. Thursday he came home with a sore throat. I figured its allergy season, so started him on Zyrtec. Friday he came home and was really complaining his head hurt and tummy was bothering him. Saturday he didn't want to move. He put himself to bed at 5pm and threw up when I tried to give him Tylenol because his head and throat were hurting so bad. He had a fever at this point of 100.0. He slept till morning (7am). Sunday he was feeling a bit better, but still icky. I kept him home from school on Monday because he was still off. Tuesday I sent him to school because he seemed fine. He came home all bent out of shape like he was over tired. He said his tummy was bothering him a bit, but I figured it was just him trying to get sympathy :) This morning he was acting off again and we debated whether to send him to school and we decided to let him go. At noon they called and asked me to come get him. He came home just wiped out and with another low grade fever. He said he was hungry, so I let him eat some bread and he went down for a nap. He woke him with a 99 fever so I called the doc. Id had enough. I took him in and they did a strep test and were concerned about him, but said there wasn't much they could do unless it lasted beyond Friday. They didn't know what to test for, and said they were "mystified". Seriously.
Everyone has had sinus issues. I don't know why he gets so sick when he gets sick? At what point do you just say its enough?
