when do you know it's time to split?

My boyfriend continuously fights with me over stupid things and then constantly breaks up with me. He then begs and pleads for me back. This time I told him it's done and it's over because I cannot keep playing that game. Is that a good reason to split? When do you know it's time to split?

It is time for sure. Anyone who fights and breaks up with you all the time is not a healthy relationship. Neither should happen all the time.

I hope you don't have kids tied up in that mess. Get rid of him.

You are not a doormat. You are a woman who has self worth and feelings. He is gone, keep it that way.

Also, look at the example you are setting for your child(ren). Do you want to see relationships like that for them?

I told him this time I just cannot do it, and that it is unhealthy.

Not sure why you are continuing to play that game in the first place:

You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.

According to clinical research, the amount of arguing a couple do has nothing to do with their longterm success or even the depth of their love and attachment --or happiness.

Try to remember that you're not supposed to agree on everything...
