my 3yr old just had one right upto my 6months old eye, She didn't cry and I think I cought it pretty quick!

I am an electrician, not an optometrist. But an LED light is just a bright light - it isn't going to cause damage just by being stared at for a few seconds. It isn't a laser, it's a Light-Emitting Diode (which is how it got its name.) There might be risk if your daughter was staring at an LED flashlight every single day, but something like this shouldn't cause any permanent damage.

I would guess that it would be okay since it was so quick and such but maybe you could call your eye doctor just to ease your mind on it?  Good luck.
