How do you treat simple cuts?

For cuts that don't require medical care,  I wash them and then use an antibiotic ointment and a bandaid.

What do you do about small cuts?

We use either aloe or honey to treat rather than ointment. Those seem to heal them faster.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I haven't heard of using honey like this. :)

Slap a bandaid on or nothing if it is minor.

Pretty much the same here.

In the ER I use saline to clean wounds, or sterile water if needed.

I tried to find saline for home cuts but couldn't. I then asked a doctor I trust there what to use at home. She aaid that literature and studies currently show that city water is just as good to clean wounds if not marginally better. Yay!

i usually wash it out..put some antibiotic cream on it, then wrap it in a bandaid during the day, and "let it breathe" at night..

Honey is a natural anti-microbial (kills germs)..  It has to be pure honey though not a honey that has been mixed with corn syrup or sugar.  Just a dab will usually work unless the cut is larger.  I smear it on the bandage to apply.
