mine did...he LOVED his blanket...he was a thumb sucker, tho, and would feel the satin on the edge while sucking his thumb for self comfort...

There's no one answer. If your child can roll and can freely move their heads/ bodies on their own accord then I would say yes but it's a personal choice. I swaddled until he grew out of all the Velcro assisted swaddle wraps on the market but I also always had a thick blanket on him over the swaddle

This.

I called the pedi in a panic when DD kept turning over in her sleep because the doc said she had to sleep on her back or her side. She didn't want to sleep like that. But, since she could move her own body, he said it was OK. Same goes for the blanket.

Every single one of my babies slept with a blanket from day one.

My kids have slept with blankets since birth.  It is safe as soon as they can roll on their own.

Yeah just make sure its a small light one. My dh gave my dd one of our normal sized blankets one day poor baby wrapped herself in it and was crying to get out.

1 mom liked this

It depends on the baby. I wouldn't put my lo to sleep with a blanket bc she likes to pull  them over her face. We use sleep sacks :)

 I wouldn't but I'm a paranoid parent.
