What age can i give juice to my lo?
The "should" in the title should be "could". Because I don't think you should give juice, but you can at about 6 months.
There's no need for juice. Give him/her water to drink and actual fruit to eat.
Juice is actually not good for them...it has no nutritional value, and it is really bad on their teeth. If they need a serving of fruit, give them fruit. Not juice.
But if you're set on it, you can start giving them watered down juice around 6-8 months.
I started a little watered down juice at around 6 months
when they can have rice cereal or whatever cereal you choose. Once they move past that they can have juice but it needs to be at least 50 percent water, 50 percent juice.
Also, if you give juice make sure you clean the gums afterwards or at bedtime!
I agree with the others. There is no need for anyone to have juice but i would introduce it around time you introduce solid foods for experimentation.... 6-8 months. I personally never combined water and juice for my dd. She would get juice (4oz) and then water (8oz). It balanced out. It would also be super helpful if you could juice your own produce so that it is less processed than store bought.
It is not something we give in our house. When we introduce solids we just nurse before and after. After one year we just offer water. My kids love water and I am so glad they do. Much better than sugary drinks that can rot their teeth out.
