I am divorced and have a soon to be 6 year old daughter.  She stays with him on the weekend.

At what age did you stop letting dad give a bath?

About 4 we starting letting them give THEMSELVES a bath. Just my thought, but I think 6 is too old for anyone to be giving them a bath.

By that age she should be able to shower or bathe herself. My DD started taking her own showers and baths by the time she was 5. If she has long or unmanageable hair have her wash up by herself and then have dad come in to help with hair. If that's not an option for you then maybe have him wash her hair in the sink or over the tub while fully dressed.

Either one of us still wash our four year olds hair, she washes her body. By the time it's inappropriate, she will be able to do it herself.

Why would i have to make my dh stop? I think he'd know when our dds could bathe themselves.

Whenever one or the other starts feeling uncomfortable. I see nothing wrong with a father helping his 6 year old take a bath.  If you think there is something wrong with a parent taking care of their child then you have seriously perverted mind.

EDIT: By the way I don't "let"the father of my children do anything with his kids. They are his kids too and he can do whatever he damn well pleases with them.

By the time my kids entered kindergarten they were taking their own showers alone.

This is tricky. I can personally recall mostly bathing on my own around 5, but DD4 has autism and won't bathe unsupervised. She won't drown herself, but if someone isn't telling her to lather up, she won't.
