low carb has been shown to be the best overall regarding weight loss and fat reduction.  By reducing your carbs, you are switching your body from burning carbs/glucose for energy to burning your own fat for energy.  Only sugar/carbs can turn into fat., fat cannot turn into fat.  http://www.webmd.com/ http://www.prevention.com/ http://www.livestrong.com/ http://www.self.com/ http://www.shape.com/ are all good websites for diet, health and exercise related information

A diet that consists of healthy whole foods and only whole grains is the best. Regular exercise will help, too.

If it comes in a box, it's most likely not healthy. If it comes from a plant or animal, it's most likely healthy. Local, organic/no spray fruits or veggies are best as is grass fed meat.

All I hear about now is the mediterranian diet. But...

Don't diet. Eat better food. Keeps fats and carbs low. Add protein and vegies back in. Fruits instead of chips. etc etc. You can google many different calorie counting sites that will tell you what is in what. Join the Weight Loss group on here! I find tons of great recipes and ideas to eat healthy! (I've lost 46 lbs this past yr. Slow and steady!)

Myfitnesspal.com. Download the app if you can. I've lost 60 lbs using it.

Cut back on carbs and sugar. Eat real food, stay away from processed stuff. Lots of water.

Good luck! :)

Weight Watchers has a pretty good program.

Right now I'm just drinking plenty of water and eating smaller portions with lots of fruits and veggies.
