Most 1 year olds eat whatever the parents eat I have found.  Mine did.  Now we are not a salt family where we salt at the table.  None of us do.  We use pepper.  I wouldn't give a 1 year old soy sauce or something that was totally loaded but we never thought about how much sodium was in something.  They ate what we ate at 1 year old and were off baby food.

At 1 my kids ate what we ate so yes, they ate salt. I did read ingredients to make sure things were not loaded with salt though.

Mine mostly ate what we ate, but I don't salt the food much.

My daughter eats whatever we eat spices and all. Like other posters, I prefer pepper over salt. There is also Mrs. Dash seasonings which is supposed to be salt free.

Of course it is but foods are so loaded we get way more than we need always. Read labels.
