As much as breakfast in bed sounds like a great idea, sometimes excited kids, hot coffee, and your uneven blankets aren't the best combo. What if you could feel special on your big day without getting scalded by a hot beverage but still enjoy an elegant breakfast? Sounds delicious!

We've found some fun ideas for making Mother's Day special without having to spend a bundle on brunch or vacuum out your bedding for the next week.

These dishes, drinks, and table decorations are as festive as they are easy to create. What more could a mom want?

Sleeping until 8am. If it's nice, we will go hiking. I'm pretty easy to please.

Sleep late, have coffee in bed and go out to breakfast

We are going to my favorite restaurant though at night on M day.

 my daughter is fixing me breakfast out on the back deck. im having french toast, sausage and fresh strawberries, bananas and peaches and of course coffee. my grandsons will probably join me.

I don't have great expectations lol.

This year, though, they're running kayake specials and I'd really like to try it together. That's the goal anyway. :)

I had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and tea in bed. Twas lovely.

Mine would be someone else bringing in the food and enjoying it at the table with my husband and sons and their families. :)
