Does anyone know how to get child support payments from the other parent's tax refund? Is there anything I need to do in order to get it or is it automatic?

If they are a certain amount behind, it is automatic.

if there is a case they automatically take it. If no case the other parent can get the refund.

I didn't have any idea but it sounds like the 2 above me are familiar with it  :)

I'm not sure how it works exactly. If you have a court order for support and payments are behind, you should contact the clerk and find out what to do.

Like others said, if it's over a certain amount (and your case is handled by DCSS), it is automatic.

Child support sends a message to the IRS to let them know to take it out

if he is behind they will take it for child support (if you have a court case) automatically.
