5 Tips For Traveling With Kids

What do you think of these 5 tips for traveling with kids?  Do you have better tips or have you used these tips with success?  Or do you just prefer not to travel at all with kids?  We've been traveling with our daughter (7 now) since she was a baby.  We take 4-10 day road trips several times a year (too poor to fly :) )

Those are all good tips.
We used to fly anytime we traveled, but it has become so expensive (family of 5 now) and SO inconvenient. Driving is the way to go.

We like to take our time at rest stops and really stretch and let the kids run. There are some nice rest stops on our interstates.I like the tip about bringing your own soap, good idea.

I also found that bringing just 1-3 toys per child is enough. Any more than that, it just clutters the car and the toys don't get played with.

Great tips!  I would always get some kind of a bag and put some things in there for the boys that were new....books, markers, a small toy, snacks etc..it seemed to make it better.  For a while anyway  lol

These are some very good ideas. I may try them when I go on a long trip.
