Shrimp with cocktail sauce

Spinach bread bowl

Dinner:

Spiral ham

Potatoes (regular and sweet)

It's the traditional Thanksgiving spread: turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce.

I love sweet potatoes, but my mom and I are the only ones who eat them (one of my sisters, too, but she's unable to travel this year), so we're skipping them.

And pumpkin pie. My dad insists on it every year. I prefer apple, so I might make one anyway.

Oh! And we always have champagne with appetizers; my mom and I are making one of these ("because we can"):

We usually do the same things. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, Mac & cheese, broccoli asparagus casserole, cranberries and rolls. Pumpkin pie and cheesecake for dessert.

Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, brussel sprouts if I can find them, orange cranberry sauce, frijoles charros, rolls, mac n cheese bake, acorn squash soup, and pie. I had to pare it down this year. Too many financial emergencies.

Acorn squash soup, bacon brussel sprouts, and my cranberry sauce is my daughter's favorite. The Mac n cheese and cranberry sauce is my son's favorite. He also asked for green bean casserole, so I made some this week. I am also slicing the ham for lunch this week. it will still be a nice dinner. I asked my SO to make the frijoles charros instead of baked beans. They are so much better and something familiar to his son.

I try new things every so often and things make it to the main list. Some things like the venison roast don't get carried over.
