Advice for Moms Advice for Moms
My son is six wks. and alot of times at night when i am trying to put him to bed he wants to comfort feed to go to sleep..  should i allow him to do this??  I try laying him down when he already has his eyes closed but as soon as i do he gets fussy and then begins to scream until i latch him on again...  Please give me your advice. should i let him cry it out or is he to young for this??

thats what my mom did with me, but she said I had horrible ear infections, and as soon as she stopped i didnt have anymore.

I just let my DS latch on and comfort feed till he got sleepy, then I would put him in the swing and let that rock him to sleep. I'll let it rock him for about 20 minutes then I put him in his crib and he's out like a light. I've been doing that since he was a few weeks old, if I don't he doesn't sleep the whole night.

I did but thats only my opinion.I know moms would down me for what I did but I used to prop his bottle up just while I was watching him and he would go to sleep then Id take it out of his mouth when he was asleep

Hm...I agree with the pacifier thing, but I didn't do that with mine. He refused to take one, no matter what. I would nurse him in bed and let him sleep with me, and when it came time to go to his own bed I switched him to bottles and put him to bed with that. I've never really had any problems with it but that's just my experience. He's 2 almost 3 and goes to bed without anything now (as for other reasons he won't go to bed, that's a different story, lol). Good luck!
