My little boy just turned one and is getting tubes on the 24th? Anybody have any advice that will help him feel better till the surgery and after?

THIS CAUGHT MY ATTENTION CAUSE MY SON WHO IS NOW 6 YRS. Had several ear infections within a half years time.............2 many basically in a short frame of time wherer they thought he needed tubes himself. he went through series of ENT specialists and everything, they even made him appt for surgery.......ya know i wasn't really against the surgery part, i just knew he did not really need to undergo this, even though the docs seem to know what they were doing. except for one that she had an attitude that she really did not want him as a patient, she didn't need her job! anyway , to this day he never had his surgery, he does not have a hearing problem, he never had ant ear surgery, thank god, they lost their insurance, trying to get it back, but don't always take the docs word for it although they are the ones we turn to foe the medical help, i just went w/ my gut instinct.  Sometimes i think it's just cause he was being stubborn, part of it thst he was but it all came about just over a routine checkup, for hearing which was part of signing up for a school year, well he failed it . at the time they has those old fashion hearing tests, well now they have computerized ones that measure the decibals , vibrations in each ear, which to me makes much better sense. anyway, he passed that w/ fling colors.............never needed the tubes........sorry solong......good luck

Thanks for all of your help. I know it will be harder on me. I just worry about him now not being able to sleep all night and only being able to sleep sitting up. Will keep everybody posted.
