Crawling

I just moved into my new apartment a couple months ago and i dont have any carpet yet. My dd is 8 months and trying to crawl I think she would have learned to crawl a lil sooner but i never put her on the floor becuz i have no carpet. She rocks back and forth crawls backwards and even crawls a few step here and there. But I have to put covers on the floor because i dont have carpet and i think that this may be keeping her from crawling really good because the covers slide all around and it makes it hard for her to get her grip. Tax time i am getting carpet in all the rooms but in the mean time. What else can i put down or what else can i do to help her crawl?? I already have a lil area rug in the living room but she always rolls off of it its small lol!

Let her crawl around in just a onesie. long clothes and socks slow them down and they have less traction. Also encourage her to crawl by putting something of interest in front of her to chase after.

Get some garage flooring or a kids mat to put down.
