Hi, my son is almost 6 months, and sleeps with a pacifier. The problem is, when it pops out of his mouth..he is instantly awake! It happens ALOT at night, and is making it extremely difficult to get any rest..also have a 3 y/o that doesn't sleep well at night.

Without any bashing, could someone PLEASE help me?! How do we get him to stay asleep after the paci has slipped out of his mouth? Any advice is MUCH appreciated!!!

Thanks ladies.

I'm fortunate that my son gave his paci up on his own at 6 months...so that being said...how often does your son get his paci during the day?  Does he take it at nap time?  What happens if you don't give it to him?

I would try getting him to go to sleep without it.  This may mean letting him cry it out and letting him cry himself to sleep...that's okay...it teaches them to soothe themselves.

You'll need to be the stronger person and not give in when he's been crying for 10 mins...

Good luck!
