my bf needs to do his taxes , and i said he should do them online , but i was wondering how hard it is to add the baby on there? i never did it before lol ... and wat programs did u use? i found sites that are free , thats where i did mine
***new question : my bf's aunt said her friend does taxes , and she'll charge 45$ .... itll take 3 weeks ( i think ) to b in his acct ... is that reasonable , like the charge?

i did my taxes online at TurboTax... its not the free edition I used, but the second one its $39.95 I think. But it is very easy to use , they ask you simple questions first like did you get married ? then it asks about your kids & such. It takes you through a step by step process that covers EVERYTHING.
its easy - you just add them as dependents but if they were born last year just make sure that you put that they lived with him all 12 months, even if they arent 12 mos old.

we used www.1040now.com and it asks for the dependants and they tell you if they can be added or not ( if they where born this year or what not) its so easy we have used it for 2 years.

It is the IRS website listing of free filing places. I always go through the lists and find ones that I meet the requirements and then visit the sites to find the cheapest state filing. Most of the federal free file sites are free for federal, but charge for state filing. So I shop around for the best price. I end up using a different place every year. Last year I paid $15.90 for state and $0 for federal filing. They all work great.
