Baby Antibiotics too strong - here's a remedy for babies

Hey moms, I wrote about this on my blog - I wanted to share it here because there is just so much craziness about giving babies antibiotics for ear infections, eye infections, etc that you need to know what to do when babies take antibiotics!!!!! You need to replace the good bacteria in their bodies as well!!!

Antibiotics given to babies are just too strong

My baby had an ear infection twice - and the doctor prescribed antibiotics. I remember hearing over the years that antibiotics are dangerous because they kill the "good" bacteria in your body with the bad bacteria. Well I knew that but I was certainly unsure about giving my baby acidolphilous because she was a baby you know? Well, after her first antibiotic dose schedule ended, she developed a rash. Well, the rash went away and then she developed another ear infection - so we received another prescription for an antibiotic. Then, she developed a rash after that antibiotic dose schedule ended. Well that rash, came and went, came and went and she started developing redness in one eye. I took her back to the pediatrician and he prescribed some eye drops for her. The pediatrician said it was ecsema. Ok, why would it be ecsema if she only gets these rashes after she has completed a dose schedule of antibiotics.

so anyway, I gave her the drops and she developed a worse and worse rash on her face and in her diaper area. I was confused. One moment I changed her diaper, she went to play and about 1 1/2 hours later, she had a rash in her diaper area!! ""???"" I started putting Country Comfort Herbal Savvy (Comfrey and Aloe Vera) on her diaper area and it began to look better, but I still took her to the doctor.

This time I took my baby to my dermatologist. He said that my baby was allergic to the antibiotics. -- go figure (why did not the pediatrician say that???? hmm?) He also said that the rash in the diaper area was yeast and the antibiotics make the yeast grow more and more. --- go figure (why did not the pediatrician say that???? hmm?)

This is my advice to moms. PLEASE BE PROACTIVE with your own baby. Don't just take what the doctors say. Pray and ask God to show you the best solutions for your baby.

Many doctors are in the business of writing prescriptions, not to address the cause of your issue but to only treat symptoms.

I WAS SO FRUSTRATED - my baby woke up one morning with a huge swollen eye and bad rash all over her face and my baby lips were dark. I did not want to get yet ANOTHER prescription from the doctor to make things worse. I took her to the doctor anyway...they didnot know what to say really but that it was escema and try this or that for a week -- you know what ? what-ever.

I decided to take my baby to one of the best health food stores in town. Without me mentioning anything to the clerk, she said to me that the antibiotics are too strong for the babies and that is what is causing the rash and to use BABY LIFE (probiotics) by Solaray and it will knock out the rash and to NOT USE anything with sodium laureth sulfate in it right now because it will dry out the baby's skin. So I used KISS MY FACE olive oil and aloe soap. The olive oil will moisturize and the aloe vera will heal.
